To date, The Big Lebowski has made $40 million on DVD — more than twice what it made in theaters — and in September, Universal is releasing a 10th-anniversary limited-edition DVD of the film, which will come (of course) in a bowling-ball case.

Some quick Mean Green notes for those of you that like to follow along, but don’t bother to read as much as I do:
There is a kid we picked up from a 4A school, Lance Dunbar, who I was really excited about upon signing. An extremely fast, versatile kid who fits Dodge’s RB prototype to a T. Well, word is on the blogosphere that he is really impressing, not only working his way up the depth chart to get some time as a true fresh, but getting some serious consideration for time in the RB rotation, and a return specialist on kickoffs/punts.
Freshman Royce Hill and Lance Dunbar have taken a couple of kickoff’s back for nice yardage. Hill raced the first one up the far sideline before stepping out of bounds, about 50 yards later. Dunbar had a go at it on the next return, making about 30-something yards out of absolutely nothing.
Royce Hill, Casey Fitzgerald and Lance Dunbar fielded punts in special teams practice. I am starting to think Dunbar is going to play quite a bit this season.
A lot of people are understandably concerned about the defense. We were horrid last year, and going into this year we are very thin and questionable on the front line. Can I state the obvious, that I think a lot of people missed? We re-hired DeLoach. There is no way, absolutely NO WAY, we can allow 45 points/game as long as he is at the helm. Count on that, and this offense averaging 5 - 10 points more per game. I like to think that’ll translate into a 5 - 6 win season. We’ll see…
Fitzgerald is so freakin’ good, players are often caught lining up to watch him run routes. Ridiculously precise.
It’s sometimes easy to take for granted just how good Casey Fitzgerald really is. The All-American senior wide receiver just finished running drills with the rest of the receivers and Fitz was putting on a show with some great cuts, speed and catching ability. As good as he was last season don’t be surprised if numbers are even better in 2008. You get a sense that everyone knows he’s the best football player on the field because everyone just watches his routes in awe. Not to be overlooked was Alex Lott, who made a solid catch along the sideline, dragging his feet before falling out of bounds and making another shoe-string catch on a deep post pattern.
Sam Roberson, who I think will line up as flank next to Casey, is going to be an absolute freak. He has top D-1 size and athletic ability/speed.
We picked up a couple of transfers that are over 350lbs. Check Nate Jenkins from Mississippi. If we lose a couple of our WRs (We have 18 on our roster!), can we assume who ate them?
This season is going to be fun, folks. Hang around. Look for us to give K-State some fits, and be the most feared spoiler in the Belt. If we don’t turn 180 degrees in conference this year, then count on it next year. I also expect us to be competitive with Tulsa, but I’m anxious to see how the Golden Hurricane look without Paul Smith at QB (graduation).
